Parallel feed splits the handling of DC and AC flux between two separate parallel fed inductors. An air gapped plate laoding choke, which handles the DC from the power supply and loads the plate of the output tube and a capacitor coupled gapless output transformer which handles the AC signal flux coming from the tube. Bottlehead (DocB) is linked to this operating principle.
Our parafeed transformers make use of the Summit product range technolgy which is envisagised for anyone seeking the highest degree of sonic purity. This range makes use of refined winding schemes, large cores, insulation materials like virginal PTFE (Teflon,Dupont ™) reducing distributed capacitance. A typical 300B product is designed around a full power bandwidth of a stunning 7Hz. The other frequency extreme is reached far above 100 kHz. The surfaces of the cores are polished down to 10 micrometer to obtain maximum inductance values that can compete with their toroidal brothers.
This product range supports a wide range of applications that use the following tubes such as 300B, parallel 300B, KT-88, 211, 845 as well as GM-70.
We also offer parafeed transformers on a custom individual basis.We will also launch a parafeed transfomer line using ultra high permeability nano crystalline amorphous cores within the future.
Low capacitance layered plate loading chokes can also be supplied accordingly on a custom basis.
